Of course, spotting the wild peacocks also known to roam downtown Oviedo should not be overshadowed by the chickens.

Students in Oviedo attend the Seminole County Public Schools which educates over 66,000 students in the county. Within Oviedo though, there are:

Oviedo hosts an annual festival every October called The Rising which allows the entire town to partake in a nighttime 5K race through the city’s historic areas. It concludes with a pancake breakfast and a retelling of the city’s history with actors coming to life and sharing their stories of survival.
